Kim Lishman Explained

So now that we have established that I am a 'divabetic' and what this means, I can explain more about who Kim Lishman is.

I am a 21 year-old journalism graduate who has recently moved to London to start a career in the big city.

I had my first article published in 'Blush' magazine when I was 13, and have been trying to get my name printed in those glossy pages ever since.

I freelance for a variety of publications on various topics, from fashion to food, health to holidays.

I was diagnosed with diabetes in May 2005, aged 15, and have been baffled by the disease ever since.

As much as I find it frustrating at times, diabetes is a huge part of my life and I love to write about it.

I try my best to help other diabetics understand the disease, and try to give non-diabetics some insight into what life is like without a functioning pancreas.

This blog was created to document the good times and the bad, as I start life with an insulin pump.

I have also written some articles for Balance magazine, and I wrote a guest blog for Diabetes UK in April.
